Snap ties are steel rods with plastic cones used in concrete formwork. They hold the formwork panels at the correct spacing during a wall pour, ensuring uniform wall thickness. After the concrete cures, the exposed ends snap off cleanly at the cone, leaving a 1" recess for patching.
Our snap ties are available for wall thicknesses from 6" to 24". They come in three end types: Short-End (SE) at 4-3/4" per end, Long-End (LE) at 8-1/4" per end, and Odd-End (OE) with 4-3/4" on one end and 8-1/4" on the other.
Standard snap ties have a Safe Working Load (SWL) of 2,250 lbs with a 2:1 safety factor. Heavy duty snap ties have an SWL of 3,350 lbs. These ratings are based on industry-standard testing.
Our snap ties are manufactured from construction grade 4-gauge steel, designed to withstand the lateral pressure of wet concrete during wall forming.
Yes, all our snap ties include 1" diameter plastic cones. The cones act as internal spreaders, set the wall dimension, reduce grout leakage, and aid in the break-back operation after form removal.

Yes. The more you order, the lower the unit price. Orders of 1,000+ units qualify for our best rate of £1.75 per unit. For very large orders beyond 10,000 units, please contact us for a bespoke quote.
